QUALITYstarsNY is СÖíÊÓƵ’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) for early childhood programs, providing support and resources to improve and sustain high quality across СÖíÊÓƵ State. Early childhood program providers can join QUALITYstarsNY and receive individualized, comprehensive support to improve the quality of their early childhood programs. All types of regulated child care programs are eligible to participate in QUALITYstarsNY at no cost to programs.
The СÖíÊÓƵ State Education Department is one of the members of a State Leadership Team created to provide support to the early childhood field on an evidence-based framework – The Pyramid Model Program -Ìý designed to build a child’s social and emotional competence and reduce a child’s challenging behaviors in early childhood educational settings.ÌýChildren need positive relationships, and for over 15 years, The Pyramid Model has worked to support social and emotional development in early childhood classrooms. Through evidence-based research, innovative techniques, and global reach, this model has helped to empower children, birth to 5 years, to succeed in school and life.

Through the collection, you can access photographs, textual materials, artifacts, government documents, manuscripts, and other materials.
The СÖíÊÓƵ State Library is part of theÌýOffice of Cultural Education, within theÌýСÖíÊÓƵ State Education Department. The Library serves three major constituencies. TheÌýResearch Library, established by law in 1818, collects, preserves and makes available materials that support State government work. The Library's collections, now numbering over 20 million items, may also be used by other researchers on-site, online and via interlibrary loan.
